Rio Linda is celebrating its heritage this weekend fishing with the 64th annual Derby Rio Vista Bass Festival and held Friday through Sunday.

The event features a carnival, fishing derby, fishing boat design, vendors, pancake breakfast, car show, soap box derby and two popular races, the race of your low-Off 10k or lower half 5k.

Runners can register for seven hours Saturday for the race, or 8 hours in advance www.capitalroadrace.com / raceschedule. html. All runners and walkers will receive a free T-shirt.

New this year are the stand-up paddle-board scheduled races, 11 amSaturday at 14:30 in the river at the waterfront, Main Street.

UCD bike auction

Over 400 bikes will go on sale Saturday at 9 o'clock the University of California, Davis, Auction of bicycles.
