Winter Wedding!

Crewe Hall is one of my favourite Cheshire Wedding Venues. As a photographer in Cheshire, covering weddings at Crewe Hall is always something I look forward to.  This grade 1 listed Jacobean mansion is the perfect choice for your wedding reception in Cheshire. Catering for hundreds of happy couples every year, Crewe Hall knows how to look after your wedding.  As soon as you turn in to its long drive, Crewe Hall is visually impressive and is a remarkably affordable Cheshire Wedding Venue. From a wedding photography aspect, there is so much to work with at Crewe Hall, set within its own extensive grounds you will find photo opportunities everywhere you look, but also, inside this beautiful grade one listed Mansion you will find a vast array of features, including exquisite marble fireplaces, carved wood, stained glass windows, ornate paintwork, the elaborate decor and architecture, Crewe Hall is perfect for any time of year and a absolutely perfect place to photograph newlyweds! I have covered many weddings at Crewe Hall and at all different times of year. This particular wedding blog is about Sophie and Keith, who got married in February at St Marys Church, Nantwich and went back to Crewe Hall for their Wedding Reception. As you would expect from a Winter Wedding in Cheshire, the weather on the day was quite cloudy with some showers. Because of this I took all group shots inside the Church, which to the non trained photographer, could have caused problems, however as the couple booked a pro the photographs turned out lovely with the Churches impressive features in the back ground of their family group shots. After the ceremony, the wedding party made their way back to their Wedding Reception at Crewe Hall. Guests were greeted with a Champagne drinks reception within the Hall of Pillars. At this time whilst the guests were slowly making their way back from the church, I whisked the Bride and Groom off in and around the grounds for some romantic shots of just the two of them. We stopped at the huge wrought iron gates with the cars, however as it was threatening to rain we made our way straight up to the front of the building  by the impressive front arch doorway and then made our way inside to The Chapel. For those of you who don’t know Crewe Hall, as soon as you enter the reception area, you are greeted by the most impressive architecture and the fabulous Hall of Pillars! “The Chapel” is a beautifully rich marble designed ornate place of worship. Although you cannot get married in the chapel, you can go in for photographs, which, if you go to Crewe Hall, you will definitely not want to miss this photo opportunity.
