Vacation Rental | Bullhead City, Arizona | Scuba Diving in Lake ...

Vacations are an ideal time to be adventurous and try something new. Today we’d like to tell you all about scuba diving at Lake Havasu in Arizona. Lake Havasu has been called “Arizona’s playground” by many who realize the fun you can have boating, jet skiing, fishing, and more at the lake. However, don’t forget you can have fun under Lake Havasu too.

You can either begin your scuba diving adventure off of a boat or off the shore at one of the beach access locations. Visibility can be anywhere from 10-50 feet and water temperatures range from the mid 50’s to upper 80’s in the  hot, summer months.

Some of the most popular diving locations at Lake Havasu are as follows: Training Site #5, Victoria Cliffs, Miller’s Folly, Copper Canyon, Pilot Rock, Steamboat Cove, Friendly Island, Sand isle, and Black Meadow Landing.

Scuba Training and Technology can help train you with your scuba diving adventure. They have instructors with a variety of skill levels ready to help the very beginner to the most advanced. If you’ve never dived before, they will start at the beginning with the Scuba Diver course with all basic training. This class will teach you about scuba diving itself, equipment, and how to use it while diving.

After the Scuba Diver course, most people will spend a little time diving and trying out their gear. They can then move into the Advanced Open Water course which allows them to learn about navigation, limited visibility diving, boat diving, and more.

Training Site #5, as previously mentioned, is one of the most popular diving locations. This diving site is on the “island” in Lake Havasu and is actually a small cove assessable by car. Here is the ideal place to train and practice diving.

Victoria Cliffs is another favorite site; this one is only accessible by boat. You’ll find ledges, boulders, a few swim throughs, and a few small boats here. Visibility is normally great at Victoria Cliffs.
